The Eat Avery's Bones camp has been "quiet" since the release of their albums "TMDU" and "A Hot Dog Runs Through It" a couple of years ago. One might inquire, "Where's Eat Avery's Bones?" For now, here's your answer. Avery Boner and the Blonde Dicks are a tribute band to Eat Avery's Bones, containing members of Eat Avery's Bones. They play old favorites, old songs that EAB wouldn't touch, and brand new ones. "The Dream Is Dead" is an explosion of sound, Eat Avery's Bones' pop sensibilities genetically inserted into a close relative of Problem Dogg. The 4-guitar attack of recent EAB endeavors is morphed into a more well-rounded orchestra featuring two clattering drum sets and a ripping saxophone courtesy of Garrett Wingfield. This ain't a sick trip, this is pop music by and for the True Party Rockers.
