Greetings post-punk Bandcamp tag surfers. From the creators of Symbiont/Symbiont, Toby Blunt, and yes, Tedward, it's Planks. "Tension Sans Frontières" compiles the first two self-releases of Planks, Houston-based post-punk band spawned in 2021, into one full-length sure to impress. Planks produce a tight instrumental and vocal matrix informed heavily by 80s UK bands like Bogshed, The Shrubs etc. while also taking notes from contemporary synergists like Landowner. To mention what will be the 8th band name of this paragraph, fans of Flin Flon may dig the style and arrangements found here. Planks is a good band with thoughtful and effortless music, so listen!

I like this album, especially for the message that it brings that is really powerful and in line with what happened nowadays. The title and the whole album refers to the Black Lives Matter (red summer refers to the summer of 1919 where white supremacists committed a lot of homicide against black community in USA). The whole album speaks about this, with a lot of reference to historical events (e.g.: 20th August 1619 is the date when the first black slaves were deported in USA). losfastidios
